We're Looking For A Cell Tower Technician:
 
We are currently hiring for a Cell Tower Technician to work out of our Scottsville, NY location. We require a High School Diploma/GED, with previous telecommunications experience a strong plus, and strong mechanical aptitude. The duties of our technicians include constructing, repairing, installing and maintaining remote sites including towers and underground services.
Tower Techs must be able to adhere to rigid safety standards while ensuring quality work in a fast paced environment. Jobs will include tower sites, mods, microwave (installation, troubleshooting, etc.) field troubleshooting. Also, you may be climbing in excess of 500 ft. in all-weather conditions.
 
To qualify to be a Cell Tower Technician, All candidates are subject to pre-employment background and drug screenings, and must be able to meet the physical requirements of the positions. Candidates should have the ability to climb heights greater than 500 feet and must be able to travel overnight during the week and over weekends as needed. A clean driving record/background is required and you must be able to pass random drug screens. You will also need to present yourself professionally and work well both independently and in a team environment.

Structural Tower Technician

Incorporated in 2001, Patriot Towers serves the entire Northeast with all aspects of communication tower construction. We are currently seeking applicants for several Welder/Cell Tower Construction positions. Welder/Construction personnel will travel and work at field locations throughout the Northeast, climbing to heights in excess of 500 feet. One to three year welding experience is required. Prior climbing experience is strongly preferred. Work is performed in all weather conditions and temperatures. Must be able to travel 100% of them time (Monday through Friday). Occasional weekends may also be required, as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must have the physical ability and willingness to climb towers in excess of 500 feet in all weather conditions year-round
- Constructs, repairs, installs, and maintains remote sites including towers, underground services, conduit, and cable splicing
- Installs coax lines, connectors, antenna and accessories
- Performs preventative and routine maintenance
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on tower equipment as needed
- Complies with OSHA safety guidelines and practical use of these guidelines as well as all other applicable safety laws and policies
- Works cooperatively with team members to complete work and maintain high quality standards

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Great physical condition and stamina
- Ability to climb heights greater than 500 feet
- Must be able to travel overnight during the week and over weekends as needed
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions
- Demonstrated safe driving record - Ability to work independently under limited supervision

WELDING:
- Weld galvanized material at heights in excess of 200’
- Work from blueprints, sketches, procedures and other specifications
- Weld in horizontal, vertical and overhead positions
- Working knowledge of different metals and alloys commonly welded, various electrode types and sizes, and accepted procedures and practices used in all types of welding
- Weld various sizes and shapes of metal objects such as pipe, channel iron, structural forms, plate metal, sheet metal, etc. not involving high pressure
- Shape, form, bend and fit metals to odd shaped sizes to assure proper fit
- Utilize electric and oxy/acetylene welders and the skill to use various cutting machines, such as oxy/acetylene and plasma-arc torches
- Must have the mechanical and technical knowledge and skill to perform operator maintenance on all equipment pertinent to the position.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three years related experience and/or training; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certified 70 Series.
- Valid & clean NYS driver license

Cell Tower Construction Crew Chief

The Crew Chief position is a working foreman position that performs all related duties and manages the work of a tower construction crew. The Crew Chief is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications systems. Tower activities include installing towers and antennas, mounting hardware, installing coax and connectors, grounding, testing, positioning, and optimizing antennas and lines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Climb cell towers in excess of 500’ and perform all related work at height
- Ensures safety standards and requirements are adhered to by crew members
- Leads by example; setting both the character and tone for crews to follow
- Give continuous direction to team and ensure that directions are followed
- EnsurE the quality of work is to specifications as well as the safe and ethical behavior of his or her crew members and if applicable subcontractors
- Ensure crew members are trained, certified/qualified to perform work
- Ensure crew is properly equipped to perform work
- Supervise crew for the installation and testing of antennas including connector installation, weather proofing, associated grounding, positioning antennas to correct tilt and azimuth
- Perform sweep, PIM, fiber and grounding tests
- Perform inspections of work in progress and at completion of installation
- Ensure crews are performing in scope work, and document any changes
- Ensure all required documentation (eg: close-outs, timesheets) is completed and submitted on time.

Skilled Construction Labor ( Future Opening)

Patriot Towers serves the entire Northeast with all aspects of communication tower construction. We are currently seeking applicants for civil labor positions. Civil construction personnel will travel and work at field locations throughout the Northeast, performing raw land or site upgrades. One to three year construction experience is desired. Work is performed in all weather conditions and temperatures. Must be able to travel 100% of them time (Monday through Friday). Occasional weekends may also be required, as needed.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Trenching & Ducting
- Hand digging
- Carrying/placing/connecting/gluing/installing pipe
- Clean-up (raking, sweeping, hand removal of debris)
- Cad-weld wire
- Electrical Grounding
- Pulling wire / Placing wire in ditch
- Drive-in ground rods
- Building/placing/leveling concrete forms
- Build by twisting wire on to rebar to create rebar cages
- Mixing/wheel barrowing/placing/screeding/finishing concrete

Project Manager- Civil

Patriot Towers is a Telecommunication Construction contractor with specializations in communications construction. From large towers to small installs, access road installation, underground utilities, foundations for towers and buildings, shelter and structure installation, grounding, fencing, we truly offer expertise and experience when it comes to turnkey site development. We are currently looking for an experienced Civil Project Manager to join our growing team. 
 
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
The Civil Project Manager will play a vital role in project execution. The Project Manager will also be identifying potential contractors, bid the work, negotiate the contract, and oversee the project execution. The Civil Project Manager will mentor crews regarding quality and actively enforce quality standards and safety. The Construction Project Manager will be accessible to crews and customers. We are looking for someone who can continue strong communication with customers as he/she will be expected to understand and exceed customer’s needs.
 
The self-motivated  Civil Project Manager will direct work teams on wireless communication projects, wind turbines, electric, underground and related construction projects involving concrete pads and structures.
 
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Responsible for communicating with the customers in regards to site schedule and general updates.
  • Responsible for scheduling, contract negotiations and project oversight.
  • Responsible for managing the activities of Civil crew.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the bid process, including scheduling the bid walk, review of bids, production of a bid package, and other recommendations.
  • Tracks and monitors construction schedule and progress through site reports.
  • Prioritizes elements of job and have strong ability to multitask.
  • Functions as primary liaison between customers, management, crews and Project Coordinators.
  • Attends work as scheduled to support the ongoing success of the company.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

 

  • Requires minimum five years’ construction experience, wireless telecom a plus.
  • Requires valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Requires strong knowledge of construction methods: concrete, underground utility and storm water management.
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, electronic estimating software and scheduling software. Sage 3000 Estimator experience preferred.
  • Must be able to professionally and effectively lead a crew to the completion of and in conformance with schedule, customer requirements, and budget guidelines.
  • Ability to establish, manage, plan, think strategically and have full understanding of construction budgets.
  • Ability to build and foster collaborative customer relationships.
  • Demonstrate excellent decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.

  • PMP certification preferred.
